Conforto / Granby KHE
KHE is a Conforto electric-resistance family suited to investigation for upright installation. The actual kW and supply voltage must be stated in the quote.

Family maxima and ranges are not the specification of every size. Obtain the complete model suffix, current output rating and dimensional drawing. Cabinet dimensions do not include all service clearances.
Manufacturer pictures & technical drawings
Exact cabinet drawing was not verified for this profile. Use the manufacturer sources below and request the selected model’s current dimensional sheet before ordering.
A cabinet choice within a fuel decision
The KHE form is relevant to upright installation, but cabinet shape should not decide the household’s fuel strategy by itself. Ask for a complete plan showing retained ductwork, any cooling equipment and the electrical changes needed. A simpler duct connection can reduce one part of the work while another part, such as electrical capacity, still requires substantial attention.
The manufacturer lists a 10–27 kW family range; its webpage uses an inconsistent kW/h notation, so the model-specific electrical submittal should govern the final power rating. Do not use a family maximum as the actual installed capacity.
Keep comfort controls and energy economics separate
KHE modulates element output, which is a control feature rather than a claim of heat-pump-like energy multiplication. Request an operating-cost scenario using the actual tariff and stated house heating requirement. If the furnace will supplement a heat pump, ask for the documented arrangement and the conditions under which resistance heat is expected to operate.
Identify the motor version. The Canadian manufacturer page limits PSC availability to Quebec, making the ECM configuration the relevant lead for an Ontario project. The quote should preserve that distinction rather than using a photograph or generic name that covers both.
What to compare before authorizing
For a KHE proposal, separate equipment, electrical work, duct transitions, controls, removal and commissioning. If an oil system is being retired, explicitly include what happens to the tank and fuel connections. Ask for local replacement-part support and written labour terms. A second quote is most useful when it prices the same completed project and explains any alternative approach, not merely when it supplies another bare-cabinet number.
Cost, reliability & alternatives
No verified, scope-complete Canadian installed price is assigned to this brand. Compare the exact equipment, labour, site alterations, commissioning, tax and warranty terms. A large unexplained gap between comparable written proposals warrants clarification and an independent second opinion.
Not numerically ranked: no comparable Canadian model-level failure-rate dataset was verified in this research.
