Choose a rating, not a family label
For SFEX, have the quote show the exact model and rated heating power at the supply voltage. The published table includes 10 to 30 kW at 240 volts across the family, with lower paired ratings at 208 volts. The selected size still requires a load calculation and electrical review. It should not be chosen solely by matching a rounded BTU number from the furnace being removed.
The blower description is ecm preset speed. Ask the installer how its settings will be selected for the proposed heating and cooling equipment. The presence of an ECM motor by itself does not specify all airflow behaviour.
Define the system duty
An SFEX may be proposed as the main resistance heat source or within a heat-pump project. Those uses can lead to very different annual electricity consumption. Request an explicit statement of the intended duty and keep the energy estimate’s assumptions with the quote. A backup furnace should not be priced or sized on the unexamined assumption that it will never need to carry a substantial load.
